The authorization for the entry and permanence of tourist vehicles entering Bolivia is granted within the framework of subsection n) of article 133
of the General Customs Law and article 231 of the Regulations to the General Customs Law, approved by Supreme Decree Nº 25870 of 08.11.2000, which establishes
that the maximum period of stay for tourist vehicles will be equal to the period established in the tourist or visit visa granted by the immigration authority to the tourist.
If once the authorized term of permanence has expired, they have not left the national customs territory, the Customs Administration will grant an exceptional
period of twenty (20) calendar days following the expiration date of the permanence term, a period in which it may leave the national customs territory after payment of
the contravention of UFVs two thousand five hundred (2,500), subsequently it will be confiscated.
Therefore, you must verify the conclusion date of the period of permanence of your vehicle, granted by the customs administration, data that is in the SIVETUR Form,
to anticipate your departure within the established period, thus avoiding the confiscation of your vehicle.
